Getting started

Bring your work into a company

Move your own documents into your company on purpose, see exactly what will happen first, and know what ends when you do.

Company workspaces are rolling out. Some of this may not be on for your company yet.

Answer first

You can move your own documents into your company, one at a time or many at once. Before anything moves, Gryz shows you a plain summary and the links that would end. A moved document belongs to the company and cannot be moved back out. Your personal account stays separate. Nothing is merged and nothing moves by itself.

Where to find it

  • On the company Documents page, choose Bring your work in.
  • The first time you open the company, a card asks whether to Choose what to bring or Keep it private. Either answer moves nothing.
  • In Private (your own space in the workspace switcher), on the Documents page, Move many at once (in the move box) opens the same page.

What you can bring

  • Projects: pick personal projects. Their documents move.
  • Collections: pick collections. Their documents move. The collection itself stays with you.
  • Documents: pick them one by one, with search.
  • Everything: every document you wrote that can move. You type the company name to confirm.

Only documents you wrote can move. Memory and agents never come with "Everything". They have their own steps below, and nothing is copied or created until you press the button.

What you see before anything moves

  • One line first, for example "42 documents, 3 projects, 0 agents".
  • Then the links that would end, with how many and up to 10 of your own titles: shared links, public links, password links (documents with a PIN) and collection pages.
  • How many links from your personal projects will be copied into a new project.
  • What will not move, and why.
  • Who can see the documents afterwards.
  • Which documents may change how they look.

The Move button stays off until you have seen this. If the numbers change before you confirm, Gryz tells you and shows them again. Nothing moves.

Where the documents go

  • A company project you can edit. Owners and admins can also make a new restricted project. A new project takes the name of your personal project, and up to 5 of its links are copied into it. The summary tells you how many.
  • No project. Everyone in the company can then read and edit them. This is never chosen for you.
  • Members choose an existing project or no project. Ask an owner or admin if you need a new project.
  • A document in two of the projects you picked goes into both destinations.

What ends when a document moves

  • People you shared it with outside the company lose access.
  • It leaves your collections and projects.
  • Its comments and likes are deleted, and the notifications about them.
  • Any link to a personal task is removed.
  • A public document stays public only if your company allows public links. It leaves Explore and trending.
  • A document with a PIN (a password link) does not move. Make it private first.
  • A document under review does not move.

Pictures and scripts

  • Pictures, fonts and media from other websites do not load in company documents. A markdown document shows a note where the picture was. To keep a picture, embed it in the document as a data address.
  • Scripts in a web page still run, in a sandbox with no network.
  • The summary counts documents by type and says "may", because Gryz does not read your document to find out.

Running, stopping and coming back

  • Each document moves on its own. If one cannot move, the rest carry on and the page tells you why.
  • You can close the page. Open Bring your work in again and choose Continue.
  • Stop cancels what has not moved yet. What already moved stays moved.
  • Run the same selection twice and nothing moves twice.
  • A move left alone for 1 day is closed.

Copy memory

Below the documents, Memory lists your own personal memories by personal project.

  • You tick each memory. Nothing is ticked for you, and there is no tick-everything. A button ticks the memories shown in the group you opened. At most 100 at a time.
  • You choose a company project where you can edit. The summary then says, for example, "0 documents, 1 project, 0 agents, 3 memories", how many are already in the project, and who can read the copies.
  • Long memories are copied in full, even though the list shows only the start.
  • It is a copy. Your originals stay with you. The copies show you as the person who saved them. Owners and admins, and people who can edit the project, can edit or remove them.
  • Private memory of your personal agents is never listed or copied.
  • The usual rules apply: text over 4,000 characters or with hidden characters is not copied, a copy that is already in the project is skipped, and the company memory limit holds. The page tells you what was not copied and why.
  • Skills are not copied here.

Bring an agent

Below Memory, each personal agent has a Bring to button with your company name.

  • It makes a new company agent. It is not a move. Your personal agent and its key stay as they are.
  • You review a short form first: name, handle, role and AI tool. The name and handle start from your personal agent. The handle is changed if it is taken. The role starts from your agent's label.
  • The new agent can read project memory and see projects. It has no project access until you give it some, and no instructions. You can change that on the Agents page.
  • Its key is shown once. Store it in a password manager.
  • If your company asks for two-factor sign-in, you need it for this too.
  • Owners and admins see the new agent on the Agents page like any other.

What the Activity page shows

  • Owners and admins see when you start and finish, with counts only, and when you copy memory (a count, never the text).
  • They also see one line for each document moved, and one for each link into a project. These show the document's short address, never its title or text.

Limits

  • Up to 1,000 documents per person in 24 hours. The rest can come tomorrow.
  • One move at a time.
  • Up to 500 documents in a project and 100 projects in a company.

If you leave the company

The documents you moved stay with the company. You can no longer open them.
