Public links are open to anyone with the URL. Restricted documents are available to you and the signed-in people you explicitly invite. PIN links require a short code before the document loads.
Public
- Anyone with the link can view
- Indexed in Explore when eligible
- Expires per tier (24h anonymous default)
Restricted
- Visible to the owner and explicitly invited, signed-in viewers
- No expiry on Starter+ restricted documents (within quota)
- Not listed in Explore
PIN-protected
- Public URL exists but content is locked until the viewer enters the PIN
- Useful for semi-private sharing without requiring a Gryz account
- Expiry follows your tier's public-link ceiling
