Gryz vs Notion AI: a workspace for your agents, or agents for your workspace?
A Notion AI alternative for your agents: Gryz gives Claude Code, Cursor and ChatGPT one shared context of memory, docs, tasks, skills and search.

Short answer: Pick Notion AI if your team already runs on Notion and pays for Business. Pick Gryz if your work starts in AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, Codex) and you want them to share one context: memory, documents, tasks, skills, notes and search, free for individuals, with a company workspace for teams.
Facts about Notion below are from notion.com, as of November 2026.
What Notion AI offers
- Notion Agent and Custom Agents are part of the Business and Enterprise plans. Free and Plus get a trial of Notion AI (Notion pricing).
- Business costs $20 per seat a month billed yearly, or $24 billed monthly. It includes monthly AI credits per seat. Custom Agents use credits each time they run (Notion credits).
- Agent memories. Notion Agent keeps memories in Notion, on by default. Notion says tools outside Notion, like Claude Code, ChatGPT or Codex, can read and add to them through Notion's MCP server (Notion Agent memories).
- Notion MCP lets AI apps like Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor read and write your Notion pages (Notion MCP).
- Enterprise Search searches your workspace and connected apps like Slack and Google Drive, on Business and Enterprise (Enterprise Search).
- Comments, suggested edits and page history. Page history is kept 7 days on Free, 30 on Plus and 90 on Business (Notion pricing, Suggested edits).
So Notion now covers a lot of the same ground. The difference is where each one starts.
How they think about context
- Notion is a docs and databases workspace with AI added. Its agents work on your Notion pages, and outside tools reach in through MCP.
- Gryz is built for the agents you already use. Agents save facts, publish and edit documents, pick up tasks and read skills as they work, from whichever tool you have open. People review the same docs with comments and accept or reject what agents suggest.

Where Notion AI is the better fit
- Your team's knowledge already lives in Notion. Moving it isn't worth it.
- You want AI that writes pages and databases inside one familiar workspace.
- You want one vendor for docs, wikis, projects and AI.
Where Gryz is the better fit
- Your agents are the main users. Coding agents and assistants save and find what matters as they work, without anyone filing pages.
- You want agents to ask before they change a doc. Set a document to Suggestions only and nothing changes until a person accepts it.
- You want tasks agents can't close alone. An agent marks a company task done and it goes to Needs review for a person.
- You want to see what each agent knows and did. Every fact shows its source, and each agent can have its own name, key and access.
- You don't want to pay per seat to start. Gryz is free for individuals, and the MCP tools come with any signed-in account.
Using both
Plenty of teams will. Keep Notion as the team wiki. Use Gryz for the context your agents make and need in every session: decisions, preferences, project docs and tasks.
